My beloved Grandpa

I lost my Mum unexpectedly late last year, and I am totally devastated that I never made the time to create a true Portrait of her!

Don’t get me wrong, I photographed my mother many times, but I never insisted she sat down in front of my camera for me to truly capture her; she always shied away from the camera so I never forced her to do it, and now it’s too late.

It was at an early age that I discovered my passion for photography and it was all thanks to my Grandparents. I remember at the age of 8 going into the darkroom with them and being totally mesmerized by the process of creating a photograph, and being incredibly inspired by the beautiful images they had created on their travels through Africa and Japan.

My twin sister and I were very close to our Grandfather, we were born on his birthday, so there was always a special connection. When Grandpa passed away when I was only 12, we were lost, we didn’t have our special friend anymore. That is when one particular photograph, pictured above, that my Grandmother had taken of Grandpa became so incredibly special.

When was the last time you were professionally photographed? I say this because a Professional has, or should have, the skills to create a Portrait that captures a personality in a way that will bring the emotions and memories of that person or animal back in an incredibly special way whenever you view the image. To make the effort to have a Professionally crafted Portrait created of a person or pet, that holds a treasured part of your heart, is something that I can guarantee you will never regret.

These days it is easy for everybody to capture photographs, but I feel blessed to have been given the gift of being able to create beautiful timeless images that will become a treasured part of your family’s heirloom. I will capture an image that, when viewed, produces the same emotion within you that you feel when you spend time with your loved ones; a feeling that you will then be able to return to time and time again as you enjoy a stunning image framed on your wall or flip through the pages of a personalised album that contains a perfectly collated collection of images created during your creative session.

Whether the images are of your precious pet, your children or your entire family, I will create images that are individualized to your personal taste and preference. Time is spent to make it perfect and I guarantee you will be overjoyed with the results.

So, when were you last photographed professionally? One day your child will look for photographs of you, and if they can’t find any, they will ask WHY? Existing in Photos is so important!

And sadly our pets very rarely out live us; what will you have left when they leave this world? Let me capture their true character for you to treasure long after they have left your side.
